Stormwater that can't keep up
A lot of stormwater in the Eastern Suburbs was put in decades ago, for smaller roofs and gentler rain. Add a few extensions, more paving and the storms we get now, and the old lines can't carry it away fast enough.
The signs are water pooling in the yard, overflowing gutters, damp walls on the low side of a building, or water getting into a garage or basement.

Blocked pits, grates and downpipes
Leaves, silt, sand and tree roots fill pits and choke the lines to the street. We clear them with high pressure jetting, check the line with a camera, and tell you if there's a broken section or a root problem that will keep bringing it back.
Box gutters
Box gutters sit inside the roof line, so when they block or rust through, the water comes inside. We clear and repair box gutters and the outlets and downpipes that drain them, and check for the damage that has already happened.
Whole-site checks for strata
For unit blocks we can look at the stormwater for the whole site: roof, gutters, downpipes, pits, grates and the lines to the street. You get a written report with photos and what needs doing now and what can wait.
Basement carparks on sloping sites are a common problem. Water runs downhill into the carpark, so the grates and pits at the bottom and the pumps that empty them have to keep working.
Common questions
Why does my stormwater overflow in heavy rain?
Usually a blocked pit or line, or an old system that was never built for the amount of water it now gets. We clear it, check it with a camera and tell you which it is.
Can you clear a blocked stormwater pit?
Yes. We clear pits and grates and jet the lines out to the street, then check them with a camera.
Do you fix box gutters?
Yes. We clear and repair box gutters, outlets and downpipes.
Can you check the stormwater for our whole building?
Yes. For strata buildings we look at the whole site and give the committee a written report with photos and recommendations.
Water is getting into our basement carpark. What can you do?
We find where it's coming in, check the grates, pits and lines, and look at the pump system. Then you get a fixed price for the fix before we start.
